Charge to the Sons of Confederate Veterans:

"To you, Sons of Confederate Veterans, we submit the vindication of the Cause for which we fought; to your strength will be given the defense of the Confederate soldier's good name, the guardianship of his history, the emulation of his virtues, the perpetuation of those principles he loved and which made him glorious and which you also cherish. Remember, it is your duty to see that the true history of the South is presented to future generations."

What are the Sons of Confederate Veterans?

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the Southern heritage and expounding the truth about what the Confederate soldiers fought, bled, and died for. Our objective is to inform the public and educate our younger generation about the true causes of the War for Southern Independence. We work to erect new Confederate monuments and to maintain, preserve, and protect the ones already existing.

What are the requirements for membership?

All prospective new members must be male, at least 12 years of age, and must be descended from a Confederate soldier, sailor, marine, or government official. The ancestor can be direct (for example, a great-great-great-grandfather) or collateral (for example, a great-great-great-uncle). We will aid interested individuals in finding their Confederate ancestors.

General Horace Randal Camp #1533
